About Susan

I received my RN degree from Stark State College in Ohio. I was the practice manager for a surgeon for
several years and have worked many years with residents and patients in rehab, skilled nursing, hospice,
assisted living, home care, and in the staff education field. I’m excited to have the opportunity to
enhance the lives of residents at the Hammocks on the Edisto.
I was born in Ohio and after raising my family there moved to the Charleston area with my 2 children
twelve years ago. I love the outdoors, animals and enjoy finding new and exciting things to do in the Low
Country area.
I enjoy helping and getting to know residents and their families and knowing that I’ve made a positive
difference in their health and recovery.

From the day I called to discuss admission, Jonas, the director, made himself immediately available to any questions or concerns I had. This is a unique place where women can progress on their journey to recovery surrounded by the beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry and supported by a team of compassionate expert providers. Offerings beyond talk therapy include yoga, cooking demonstrations, adventures to local parks and beaches, and wellness coaching. The facility is never over crowded and each woman gets lots of personalized care. The healing potential is felt as soon as you drive down the long private driveway to the house. Highly recommend.
