About Melanie
Melanie earned her bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and called the lowcountry home for over 17 years. She has over 15 years of marketing and development experience, with the majority being specifically in the field of substance abuse and mental health outreach. In this work she realized her true passion and sense of purpose comes from helping others. Her strengths in this role include building authentic relationships within the behavioral health community and being a reliable resource for professionals, families, and potential clients to help them navigate through appropriate paths of care and educate them about Hammock’s scope of services.
Melanie currently resides in Asheville, NC with her husband and daughter with plans to eventually relocate back to Charleston, SC. Her hobbies include outdoor activities, travel, time with friends and sharing joyful interactions with everyone she meets.
“I was immediately drawn to the Hammocks after learning of its opening. I knew of a high need for women’s specific treatment in the area and knew that the outstanding level of clinical work in such a healing and special setting would create truly beautiful outcomes. The Hammocks focuses on doing not only the hard work but the “heart work” to get to the root cause of client’s issues and I am so grateful that I can be a part of sharing the message around services that will transform so many lives.”
