About Patty

A Charleston native, Patty comes to Hammocks with a professional nursing background of over 35 years. Her diverse interests throughout her career have led her to hospital roles in neurology/neurosurgery,

rehabilitation, mental health, and addiction specialties. She has held management roles in various clinical settings and brings considerable knowledge and experience to the Hammocks team.

In her experiences, Patty developed an interest in a holistic approach to health, which led her to also pursue education as a Massage Therapist and Healing Touch Practitioner. Through this work, Patty has

deepened her natural gifts of healing with compassion. Her role at Hammocks on the Edisto offers her an opportunity to provide a safe, nurturing, supportive space for our residents.

From the day I called to discuss admission, Jonas, the director, made himself immediately available to any questions or concerns I had. Offerings beyond talk therapy include yoga, cooking demonstrations, adventures to local parks and beaches, and wellness coaching. The facility is never over crowded and each woman gets lots of personalized care. The healing potential is felt as soon as you drive down the long private driveway to the house. Highly recommend.
